Communication

At Passfield Park School visual communication, gestures and keyword signing are used together to supplement speech. This enables students to use the system that best suits them and also provides them with back up systems.

Passfield Park School's Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) guide that will enable students to understand:

• receptive language - the ability to follow instructions and requests, and meet certain expectations
• receptive language - the ability to express their own personal needs, wants and feelings.
